Single Tier Cakes

Two to Four Tier Cakes

How to Choose the Right Cake Tiers

Choosing the right number of tiers for your cake depends on several factors:

  1. Number of Guests: Estimate the number of guests you need to serve to determine how many tiers you’ll need. Each tier typically serves a certain number of people, with larger tiers accommodating more guests.
  2. Design and Style: Consider the overall design and style of your event. A taller cake with more tiers can create a more dramatic effect, while fewer tiers can be more understated and elegant.
  3. Flavours: If you have multiple favourite flavours, having more tiers allows you to showcase different flavours within the same cake.
  4. Budget: The number of tiers will also affect the cost of your cake. More tiers generally mean more time and effort in baking, assembling, and decorating, which can increase the overall price.
  5. Practicality: Think about the logistics of cutting and serving the cake. You can serve more guests  at weddings  compared to other celebrations like birthdays. The size of serving varies

Cake Storage and Serving Instructions

To ensure your cake tastes its best, please follow these guidelines for storing and serving:

  1. Room Temperature:
    • Before Cutting: Keep the cake at room temperature for 1 hour before cutting. This allows the cake to reach the ideal texture and flavour.
    • During Winter: During colder months, allow the cake to sit at room temperature for 1.5 hours before cutting.
  2. Refrigeration and Freezing:
    • We strongly recommend not refrigerating or freezing our cakes before the prescribed time above. Cold temperatures can affect the texture and flavour of the cake, making it less enjoyable.
  3. After Cutting:
    • Once cut, any remaining cake can be stored in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days.
    • If you need to keep the cake longer, wrap it tightly in plastic wrap and store it in the refrigerator. Allow the cake to come to room temperature before serving again.
  • Room Temperature Before Cutting:
    • Regular: 1 hour
    • Winter: 1.5 hours
  • Avoid Refrigeration or Freezing before the recommended time to maintain optimal texture and flavour.

Following these instructions will help ensure your cake remains as delicious as when it was first made.
